During the first 3 months with Rob Stewart
as Transitional Pastoral Leader
recommitted to focusing on “healing spiritual wounds"
met and bonded every Sunday in a Weekly Gathering on Zoom (via checking in, prayers, music, Word, Mutual Sharing of Reflections, and communion)
created a new bright-attractive, easy to use website that explains who we are, what we do (services and events), displays events on a calendar, introduces the team, offers a donation area (QR)
increased the use of music in zoom gatherings including “Singalong with Michael”
gained three regular online contributors
met twice to assemble Blessing Bags (hygiene essentials, snacks, socks, etc) for our unhoused neighbors
will meet monthly at Community Presbyterian in Cathedral City at 1pm for a Community Brunch (beginning March 2022)
printed Business Cards for handing out (and including in Blessing Bags) that includes a QR code for making nearly instant donations)
printed a Business Card for “The Rev” Rob
sent two weekly email announcements about worship and activities to about 17 people
rejuvenated the Facebook Stonewall Ministries page
agreed to host a Booth at the annual Gay Days festival in Cathedral City (late March)
launched into a new Coachella Valley Presbyterian Partnership with 3-5 other Presbyterian congregations for cooperative mission to our area
committed to taking Good News out to the community by holding “community connecting” events / conversations in public places (such as a senior center, The LGBTQ Center, local bar, etc)
committed to a vision of offering people space for sharing their lives, spiritual struggles and joys, etc. while providing activities that people can DO (hands-on mission projects) that benefit neighbors
Gratefully submitted,
Rob Stewart, Transitional Pastor
Miguel Rodriguez, Communications Coordinator
